My bithday here was very nice. People here celebrate this day in a very different way from what you and I are used to. No one here is concerned about cooking a lot on this day. It is only drinking and some light snaps like nuts, chips and some easy prepared things. The most important thing on this day is a pie of course but you may not cook it either because in the shops there is so great variety of these sweet things you even cannot imagine. And each one is very, very tasty. I like this way of celebrating very much. It is nothing to do indeed and only time to have fun a lot.
Да, и в молодости вспоминается, самые веселые гулянки были с минимумом закуски и выпивки (ну, эт от бедности, а не от благоразумия), но ведь до сих пор всем памятны, а сытые застолья похожи одно на другое
