Welcome to the Heroes of Might and Magic® IV update page. This page has been provided to keep Heroes of Might and Magic customers informed of the latest updates and enhancements.

**If you do not own the North American (shipped in the US and Canada only) version of Heroes of Might and Magic IV, please click here to find out how to update your game.**

Below US and Canadian customers will find instructions on how to update Heroes of Might and Magic® IV to version 1.2

Use of this patch on other language versions of Heroes of Might and Magic® IV may result in errors that can render the game unplayable on your system. We will be providing information about patching non-US English, and other Foreign language versions here.

Update v 1.2 Information


General Updates (For a complete list of changes, please click here.)


Added a Grid and Unit Movement Shadow to the Combat Screen. These can be accessed in the Combat Settings screen.
Corrected the music skipping issues.
Corrected the game slow down when standing idle for a long period of time.
Artifacts can no longer be "buried" in graveyards.
Dead Heroes no longer regain hit points from the fountain of vigor.
Caravans are no longer able to go through an enemy tower garrison.
Corrected the Destroy Altar message.
A.I. creatures are now giving their items to the hero when they join up.
Corrected A.I. evaluation of the Idol of Fortune.
Fixed issues with the High Score Screen
Corrected the creature generator giving out the exact number of guarding troops after declining to fight them.
Added and improved several keyboard commands.

The Price of Peace
"At the Crossroads"
You can no longer swipe all the treasures "guarded" by the elves at [58, 129] without having to fight them.
"An Enemy's Trust"
Corrected pop up message text order at [121,81].
"The Servant"
You can no longer swipe most of the treasures behind the nomads at [82,107], and the ore behind the gold golems at [58, 22] without a fight.
"An Unusual Betrayal"
Corrected the hero Reed's prison release message.
Corrected a typo in Day 2's event text.
You can no longer swipe most of the treasures behind the gold golems at [103, 170] without a fight.
"To Slay an Immortal"
Added the hero Kodge to the carry over description in the campaign screen.
Elwin and Shaera
"Mark of the Tiger"
The Wood pile at [74,73] can now be accessed.
The Town at [107,108] no longer allows a shipyard to be built.

"Beebee & the Three Pigs"
The Victory Condition now functions as normal.
"Zanfas Challenge"
The area at [126,247] is now accessible.
Any boats created at [195,215] are now accessible.
"Petty Claustrophobia"
Increased the level of the computer player's starting heroes.
"Revolution"
Increased the computer player's starting resources and starting units.
"Run! Cronx is Coming!"
Reduced the computer player's starting units.
Changed the Armor of Life artifact at [36, 23] to the Golden Platemail artifact to make it useful to all classes.
"Return of the Devil"
Increase the map difficulty by Increasing Mephistos level. (The hero you have to beat)
"Search for the Old Heroes"
Reduced the Computer player's starting units.
"Borings Mountain"
Added some extra resources near the players main starting town.

Install via Download

If you have the North american release of Heroes of Might and Magic® IV, version 1.0 game:

Download File via FTP: 05/01/02 heroes4v10to12us.exe (16.5 MB)

Locate the "heroes4v10to12us.exe" file on your hard drive and double-click to launch it. The program will search for Heroes of Might and Magic® IV and update it to version 1.2. After update, follow the instructions below to verify that the Heroes of Might and Magic® IV game was updated correctly.

Notes: Requires approximately 32MB of free hard drive space during the updating process. Game system requirements will increase to require 770MB of free hard disk space, (previously only required 750MB.)

Go to Start | Find | Files and folders. Type heroes4.exe in the "Named" line and in the "Look in" line make sure that C:\ drive is selected, and select "Find Now".

You can check the version number of the new "heroes4.exe" file by right-clicking on the file, choosing Properties, and clicking on the Version tab. The file version number should be "1.2".

The default program location is C:\Program Files\3DO\Heroes of Might and Magic IV

Install via GameUpdate

GameUpdate is a program that will search the 3DO web site for game updates. You must be connected to the Internet for GameUpdate to function.

Connect to the Internet
Go to Start | Programs | 3DO | GameUpdate
Follow the instructions when the GameUpdate window opens
Please note: If a newer version of GameUpdate exists, GameUpdate will update itself.

Уйо, 16 мегов!! Ну ладно, что не сделаешь ради любих героев. Пробуем качать.

На хероес.аг.ру там тема получше в итоге некто неможет скачать этот патч а если и качается то ни х...не ставится у них наверно у 3до фтп сдох от нашествия челов

Кто-нибудь знает где к этому новому патчу найти рипнутый экзешник!???

Дождался ночи и скачал! На английской версии работает :)

Грид must have! Как мы раньше без него жили? И музон перестал тормозить.

Копируете файл heroes4v10to12us.exe на рабочий стол.
Так всё без проблем скачивается.

Другое дело что на версию от Deviance похоже не устанавливается. Пишет, что пока нормального heroes.exe не будет, установка не продолжится.
При том пробовал устанавливать и поверх кряка, и поверх "оригинального" экзешника.

Сознавайся, где ты нормальный Heroes4.exe взял? :)

3DO, во всей своей красе, даже патч через жопу выпустили. Сначала игра с кучей багов, а теперь и видетели траффик виноват, видетели сеть не пушшает! Меньше багов - меньше патч, нy а если не способны к выпуску безглюковых программ, тогда хоть сервер бы проабграйдили. Зажралась 3DO. :(

Nazik Это была сложная операция :) Друг привез мастер из Штатов, а я с него снял образ и себе на CD-R притащил.

Klo Kla А что сервак глючит у них - это неудивительно. Представь сколько народу туда ломанулось! Тут никакой супер-пупер сервак не выдержит. Козлы, что зеркал не сделали, это да.

Кстати советую не отчаиваться т не спешить качать патч. Никаких полезных изменений, кроме сетки я там не заметил. Тормозов у меня и так не было, а мульти до сих пор не сделали!!!

Вот нашел зеркало, с которого можно абсолютно спокойно без давки и с хорошей скоростью скачать заветный патчик.

Могу свой фтп организовать, ну да ладно... Всё равно морровинд уже завра наверняка у меня будет. А там чёрт знает когда я к героям вернусь... :)

Ребята, не подскажете что делать? У меня английские герои но он все равно говорит что файл герои.екзе ему не подходит и патчить не будет. Жалко. Может мільните екзешник с которым попашет?

Говоришь Morrowind будет, это меня очень заинтересовало! Выложи на какую-нибудь фтп-шку ПЛИЗ, а то я его уже полтора года жду!

А если екзешник 6 метров весит ты его заархивируй и в несколько частей на мыльцо, или на фтп-ху какую-нить кинь а то играть-то в 1.2 хочется!

Говорят, что большинство пираток - европейская версия, и что одним экзешником ту не поможешь. Просто ещё пара дней и появится европейский патч - тогда все будут рады. А пока не мучайте AndyGorC, а то мне даже стыдно стало - я ж идею подкинул у него екзешник клянчить.
